23rd Annual Restaurant Industry Conference Topics and Speakers

We are excited to let you know that we have a great line-up of topics and speakers this year!

Our Innovation Award recipient is Julie Felss Masino, President—North America, Taco Bell. We will have an armchair interview with Ms. Masino at the end of the day.

Our keynote speaker is Valorie “Miss Val” Kondos Field, UCLA Women’s Gymnastic Head Coach and seven-time NCAA champion and Pac-12 Coach of the Century.  Everyone in attendance will receive a copy of her new book, Life is Short, Don’t Wait to Dance:  Advice and Inspiration from the UCLA Athletics Hall of Fame Coach.

Robert Thompson, Founder & CEO, Punch Bowl Social will participate in our Breakout Brands panel, as well as executives from Kitchen United and Sweetgreen.

Anita Jones-Mueller from Healthy Dining will moderate a panel on Emerging Tech and Lifestyle Trends including Karen Eadon, CEO of Farmer Boys, and CEOs, Founders, or CMOs of other brands. They will provide an insightful view of how emerging digital health and technology trends, as well as evolving preferences which prioritize food quality, health benefits, and sustainability concerns, are changing how people eat.

 Fred LeFranc, Chaos Strategist, Results thru Strategy, is moderating a panel on Employee Engagement as the solution to high wages and turnover while increasing sales, with Rick Shoffstall, The Productivity Advantage, Greg Hernandez, Arclight Cinemas, and Ashish Gambhir, ShiftOne.

Wallace (Wally) Doolin, Chairman/Founder, TDn2K, will moderate a panel on Social Intelligence.

Bob Woolway, Managing Director, FocalPoint, is moderating a panel on One Concept’s Distress is Another’s Opportunity.  Panelists include Neal Sherman, CEO of TAGeX, and Navin Nagrani, VP of Hilco Real Estate.

 Moderator Mike Church of Deloitte will share with us conclusions learned from Customer Experience Data on understanding your guests and meeting their expectations.
