Legal Secretary Certification
Becoming a certified Legal Secretary is recommended to maximize one’s success in a competitive job market, and many employers require it. There are several ways to become a certified Legal Secretary:
- If you have taken an accredited business/legal course or have one year of legal experience, you can take an exam to become an Accredited Legal Secretary (ALS).
- There is an advanced certification through the National Association of Legal Secretaries (NALS) called Professional Legal Secretary (PLS).
- You can become a Certified Legal Secretary Specialist (CLSS) through Legal Secretaries International if you have five years of law-related experience and pass an examination.
