Our Small Business Management & Technology Advisory Board Members are distinguished leaders in the field. Their role is to advise and guide the academic content of the certificate and courses.

Joanna Bruno–Founder and President of J.R. Bruno & Associates
A long-time advocate of the small business movement, she leads an experienced JRB Team in delivering results-oriented services including staff training, technical assistance, underwriting, loan reviews and packaging, business development and marketing assistance, and hands-on day-to-day guidance. Joanna Bruno is a frequent speaker at industry conferences. Joanna’s company offers small business consulting and support services including loan marketing, portfolio loan reviews, staff training, prescreening, loan structuring, underwriting, processing, packaging, loan documentation, pre-closing review, portfolio management, and workouts.

Isaac Garcia–Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Central Desktop
As co-founder and CEO of Central Desktop, Isaac oversees business strategy and sales for the company. Isaac has a proven record in both early-stage technology companies and enterprise sales & marketing. As a founding partner at Upgradebase, Isaac served as Vice President of Sales & Marketing where he oversaw all business development and sales for the company. During his three-year tenure at CNET, Isaac served as a Director of North America Enterprise Sales for CNET Channel. As Director, he was responsible for the acquisition, sales and management of global partnerships with Microsoft, Google, eBay, Yahoo and Best Buy. Isaac led and managed CNET’s global partnership with Microsoft to launch the Windows Marketplace campaign in 14 countries, Microsoft’s largest sales and marketing campaign at the time.

Elizabeth Ghaffari–President of Champion Boards®
Elizabeth Ghaffari is a business professional with twenty years’ experience as President/CEO of Technology Place Inc, her own technology consulting business, and another fifteen years’ experience in corporate data processing, operations, economics and project management in the U.S. and abroad. Through Champion Boards, she applies her research and analyses to entrepreneurial advocacy and advisory consulting with businesses and entrepreneurs who want to build boards as a tool to foster effective strategic planning and promote business growth. Elizabeth’s research findings of corporate leadership as a result of federal laws mandating greater transparency and accountability of U.S. stock-based companies formed the basis for her book, “Outstanding in Their Field: How Women Corporate Directors Succees”.

Victor Parker–Los Angeles District Director, U.S. Small Business Administration
Victor is the most senior SBA executive in the Los Angeles District which includes Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and Ventura Counties. This District Office manages a loan portfolio that has financed more than 2,477 businesses with SBA loans exceeding $1.5 billion in 2011. He came from the private sector with more than 15 years experience with Myers Stevens Group (Division Managing Director) and extensive government contracting experience. Victor earned his J.D. degree from Pepperdine University and his Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley.

Jenny Paige–President & Creative Director at Media Well Done®
Jenny Paige founded her award-winning boutique advertising firm in 1990. Originally a graphic design agency, Media Well Done has grown exponentially over the past two decades–now offering corporate turnkey services, including creative concepts, brand identity, printing, advertising, web development, and direct mail. The firm’s expertise lies in web solutions for customized print-on-demand solutions and services a multitude of clients in the financial and entertainment industries. Through her leadership, the company has continued to flourish and was recently included in The San Fernando Valley Business Journal’s List of “The Largest Advertising & Public Relations Agencies.”

Susan Pignotti–President, Network Magic Unlimited
Susan Pignotti , a graduate of Wellesley College, founded Network Magic Unlimited in 1993 after more than 10 years’ experience with IBM. Susan’s company, which is family owned and operated, is dedicated to serving SOCAL businesses with computer network equipment, software, and engineering services. Vendors include IBM, Novell, H-P, Cisco, Juniper Networks, Microsoft, Citrix and many others with the mission providing network solutions to the small/medium sized business marketplace. Network Magic is headquartered in Santa Monica and is one of the “Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies” as tabulated by the LA Business Journal.

Linda Suh–President and CEO, Cloud B
Linda Suh founded Cloud B in 2002. Cloud B is dedicated to helping children of all ages sleep better. Their award-winning products (sold through many baby focused specialty stores) are developed in consultation with an Advisory Board of pediatricians and specialists with a single focus: to achieve a better, safer sleep for your child. Cloud B is also dedicated to providing less fortunate children the quality sleep they deserve through product donations and financial contributions to charitable organizations nationwide. Cloud B is headquartered in Torrance, California and is in the “Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies” as published by the LA Business Journal.

Dale Van Dellen–Chairman of the Board, Account Control Technology, ACT
Dale Van Dellen has nearly three decades of debt collection experience, including 23 years as ACT’s founder, CEO, and Chairman of the Board. Dale’s entrepreneurial spirit thrives as he seeks strategic opportunities for growth, providing oversight and guidance to the ACT team. Dale’s continued commitment to ACT’s success is deeply rooted in the company’s dedication to “People and Performance,” which resonates with his original pledge to provide positive interaction with account holders in order to achieve outstanding recovery for clients.
